EYEBROW PMU / POWDER BROWS

No-Maintenance, Always-Perfect, Waterproof, Beautiful Brows.

Eyebrows frame the face and provide definition for other facial features. They enhance the beauty of your face by changing your facial appearance and bringing out your natural features. Sparse or missing eyebrows can be restored or enhanced with one or a combination of techniques. From a soft gradient look, to a more defined shaded look these techniques are suitable for all skin types.

Powder and Ombre brows are gaining popularity among the younger client and already a favorite with the mature clientele. The look is more of a traditional “makeup” look but unlike the tattooed brows of the past, these techniques are softer and much more natural.  Both techniques are accomplished by layering pigment with a digital/rotary device in soft layers using a range of different needles to arrive at the saturation desired. The difference between both is powder being more uniform layers with soft edges while ombre being layers in a gradient-like fashion.

Oftentimes these techniques are used as coverup for previous pigmented brows, because many times due to poor workmanship or retention this is the more suitable method for color corrections and depositing pigment into the skin.

This procedure, like all permanent makeup procedures, requires a level of skill and expertise. Make sure to properly research your artist, his/hers credentials and before/after/healed work to help ensure a favorable outcome.  Unfortunately due to the popularity of this service, the industry has been saturated with PMU trained individuals whom have very little experience tattooing and a lot of damage is being done to clients skin. So proper research is advised with this and all PMU procedures.

The degree of discomfort during the treatment depends on several factors: anesthetics used, the client’s threshold for pain, and skill of the technician.  From a scale of 1-10, clients report initially anywhere from a 3 to 4, and once the second anesthetic is applied discomfort is reduced even further.

Now though all procedures are permanent, they are subject to fading over time. This technique requires touch-ups anywhere from 12-24 months apart.  Fading is client specific and there have been instances where some clients require touch-ups much sooner than others.

I had basically given up on my brows. Nothing had helped, not even filling them in with pencil. I was done. Until I Found AVARTE GROUP. It has literally stepped up my brow game! Vjera Zec introduced me to something called microblading which to be honest I had never even heard of before. All I knew was when I saw her before and after pictures I wanted in. The transformations are incredible! She took more pride in my brows than I had shown them in 15 years ! Sorry brows. Seriously so lucky I found her! #AndImBackInTheGame

5 Stars hands down! I've had my eyebrows done professionally since 2009. BUT never truly happy. Vjera has exceeded my high expectations being in the beauty industry. Her professionalism, knowledge, delivery and personality were a pleasure!! Not only did she correct my old brow work and reshape them beautifully, she made me more confident. Plus the down time to heal is so much easier. I can go to work confident that nobody can tell my brows are healing like in the past. Thank you again!

WHAT TO EXPECT POST PROCEDURE

While we strive for perfection on every procedure, results cannot be guaranteed to be perfect after the initial procedure due to the many factors affecting both integration and retention of pigments in the skin. Permanent and Reconstructive Cosmetic makeup procedures are directly affected by the skin that they are performed on.

Factors ranging from medications, sun exposure, smoking, hormones and age all contribute to fading and must be taken into account during pre and post procedure.

A finishing session must be scheduled between 6 to 8 weeks after your initial procedure to attain the best results and to keep your procedure looking its best.

Please refrain from altering the post procedure protocol advised, use only ointments and creams provided or recommended by Avarté.

AFTERCARE

  • 30 minutes following end of procedure proceed to wipe accumulated lymph fluid off the brows with a cotton round moistened with spring water
  • Repeat this process 4 times day off procedure over the course of 2 to 3 hrs
  • Apply a thin layer of ointment after all the cleansing is complete
  • Following the next morning proceed to wash the area with a mild antibacterial soap, air dry and apply a bit of ointment. Apply the ointment 2 to 3 times daily.  Repeat this process for 10-14 days
  • After all scabbing has flaked off, wash the area with mild antibacterial soap and continue to moisturize as needed. Please do not avoid permanently washing your brows after healing has finished, doing so may cause dandruff or dead skin buildup.

Please Note:

  • Avoid makeup, Retin-A & glycolic acids on pigmented areas while healing.
  • Avoid touching with fingers, sunscreens, direct sunlight, tanning beds and self-tanners on pigmented areas.
  • Avoid swimming pools, oceans, hot tubs, saunas and hot steamy showers. Shower with back to shower head to avoid water, shampoo and conditioner getting into pigmented area.
  • Avoid dirt (as in gardening), extreme perspiration for the first week to prevent infection.
  • Never use topical antibiotics unless given to you at time of procedure.
  • Use a good sunscreen daily, once fully healed.
  • If you donate blood, it’s a Red Cross policy to wait one-year after any tattooing procedure.

HEALING PROCESS

Days 1 & 2: The eyebrows are approximately 20%- 30-% darker and slightly bolder in width than they will be when healed. There may be some slight swelling and soreness at the site, this will subside. Exfoliation, which begins in a few days, will cause excess pigment surrounding the eyebrow procedure to flake away and a narrower appearance will result. New skin will heal over the pigmented area and result in a softer appearance of your eyebrows. Don’t be concerned that your eyebrows initially appear darker and heavier in size than you desire. This is all part of the process.

Day 3: Eyebrows start to itch, do not scratch. Lightly pat w tissue in between if relief needed. Scab will start to form, area will look darker and wider than original work done, this is normal. Exfoliation begins.

Day 4: The skin begins to flake, peeling from the outside edges first. We cannot stress this enough for every procedure, please do not pick at it, doing so can cause scarring and premature loss of pigment

Day 5: Color finishes flaking off and appears softer until it clarifies. Please note, in some cases after scabbing has flaked off, there might appear as if there is no color, please allow the work to heal properly, color will develop as it heals.

Days 5-10: The exfoliating process should be over and you start seeing the final color. It takes up to 4 weeks to see the true color through the healed skin.

TAKE NOTICE

Light redness is normal but if a red ring appears around the area, seek medical attention.
